Period of AppointmentFixed term for 2 (two) years
Hours per fortnight73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available
Duties
- Undertake a wide range of clerical and administrative duties to support the efficient and effective delivery of services for Abuse in Care and other matters, including:
- typing correspondence
- opening and closing files
- archiving files
- coordinating video links
- assisting witnesses to complete witness statements witnessed by Justices of the Peace
- making medical appointments
- filling in draft forms (Medicare, Centrelink and others)
- binding documents
- Undertake transcription services for Legal Practitioners with a high level of speed and accuracy.
- Update and maintain the legal practice database, Visual Files, and use database tools to prepare documents.
- Co-ordinate the briefing of witnesses and their attendance at court.
- Compile, vet, and file documents such as Court books with the Court and arrange service.
- Prepare reports on the status of Abuse in Care files.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team including providing support and guidance to administrative assistant positions.
- Ensure timely and accurate saving of data.
- A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment).

Desirable Requirements- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or Business (Legal Services).
