The Role
We have an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced healthcare administrator to join us in our Sleep Centre on a casual basis.
Sleep Centre at Mitcham oversees the operation of several other Ramsay Sleep laboratories across Melbourne and regional Victoria. At the heart of the department, Administration staff play a crucial role. As the initial point of contact for patients referred to the centre, you will set the tone for a welcoming and supportive experience.
This role is offering the right candidate a minimum of 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day with flexible start & finish times
Key Accountabilities
- Managing the booking of sleep studies for patients across all locations
- Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, doctors and other hospital staff
- Compilation and management of patient admission paperwork and clinical notes
- Conducting monthly auditing and data entry tasks
- Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, & patients to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and enjoys being part of a busy ward. Your ability to converse supportively while managing a busy flow of patient bookings is a key skill needed for this role.
You will also demonstrate:
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Experience either in a medical administration setting or a patient-facing role
- Experience within the Sleep field will be highly regarded
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in and communication with a multidisciplinary team
Remuneration
A base hourly rate of $28.75 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.

About Our Hospital
Mitcham Private Hospital is a fully accredited, 121 bed acute medical, surgical, maternity and mental health facility, providing for the healthcare needs of Melbourne’s outer eastern communities.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
