Community Landcare is a unique movement in which individuals and groups work together to improve the health of our natural and working landscapes. Community Landcare’s approach to environment and sustainability issues is ‘bottom up’, with the community taking ownership of the problem and being actively involved in the solutions.
We are seeking a part-time Administration Officer to join our team, to assist in:
- Maintaining accurate membership records, processing new memberships, renewals and cancellations.
- Website and database updates and maintenance.
- Being a primary point of contact for phone and email enquiries, directing, recording and responding to membership and member insurance questions and providing information and support.
- Processing online shop orders and managing the member equipment lending library.
- Assisting with finance functions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, data entry for month end reporting, payroll processing and tax lodgements.
- Generating reports on membership statistics, trends, events and other relevant data.
- Other ad hoc office support and administration as required.
We are looking for someone to work 3-4 days per week and are able to offer some flexibility on the days and times you wish to work your hours.
Requirements
To be successful you will need to have:
- High level of proficiency with technology (particularly Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets) and the ability to troubleshoot or problem-solve
- A demonstrated ability to learn new software
- Experience in an administrative, customer service or community engagement role
- Working with vulnerable people registration (or a willingness to obtain).
The following criteria will be highly regarded:
- Previous experience with updating websites.
- Experience with task / project management software.
- Experience with Xero.
- Experience with CRM Software.
- Experience working in a member-based organisation or not for profit.
