Level 2/3 ($70,432 to $84,977 per annum) + 11% superannuation
The Parliamentary Education Office is looking for a highly motivated, proactive and organised Administration Officer to support the Education team. This full-time position will be responsible for co-ordinating tour bookings and schedules, providing administrative support, and assisting in the planning, co-ordination and delivery of educational and community engagement programs and projects.
As a member of the Education team, you will also be required to deliver tours as part of the parliamentary education programs for schools, the public and community groups visiting Parliament House, and will assist in preparing special parliamentary exhibits and programs.
The successful applicant will need to meet the following selection criteria:
Essential
- Experience in an administrative role.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in public speaking.
- Sound interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt to different audiences as required.
- Sound keyboard and formatting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
Desirable
- Experience in delivering tours and group presentations to a range of audiences.
- Understanding of the legislative process and Parliamentary/political system in Western Australia.
Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will require a current Working with Children card, and National Police Clearance less than 12 months old, the costs of which can be reimbursed.
