Who we are: Tenterfield Care Centre Ltd (TCC) is a not-for-profit organisation, committed to providing high-quality, personalised aged care for the Tenterfield community and surrounds.
TCC offers residential aged care (including dementia-specific care), independent living, respite, and community aging services through the operation of Haddington Nursing Home and Millrace Hostel.
The Role
We are offering a Full time role as an Administration Officer (HR, Administration and Education Coordination)
What you will do
You will be responsible for ensuring:
- Coordination of a small Administration team (including reception, finance and accounts, co-ordination of rosters)
- Human Resources Administration
- Education and Learning Administration
Administration that you coordinate deliver a range of general administration duties including:
- Word processing and document preparation.
- Records management and filing.
- Answering the telephone and customer enquiries.
- Covid 19 risk screening and check in of visitors.
- Data entry/management including spread sheets and databased.
- Data collation and report preparation.
- Meeting coordination and minute taking.
- Liaising with the Accounts Team
- Onboarding of suppliers in the local Contracts Register.
- Operational approval of accounts for payment through Purchase Plus (by delegation from and at the discretion of the RSM).
- Referring accounts payable queries from suppliers
- Referring resident billing queries to Pace Care (liaising with Pace Care for complex issues).
- Petty cash management and reconciliation.
You will be responsible for a range of human resource administration duties including:
- Preparing recruitment advertisements.
- Liaising with prospective applications.
- Arranging interviews.
- Completing pre-employment checks.
- Employee file and records management.
- Employee performance appraisal schedule monitoring.
- Liaison with the Human Resource Management Team.
- Preparing rosters within required timeframes
- Ensuring roster alignment to the Master Roster
- Ensuring rosters resourcing is aligned with the applicable Enterprise Agreement
- Replacement of staff on leave using a fair and efficient process
- Using Agency staff only when internal replacement staff are exhausted
- Liaising with HR about roster vacancies
- Liaising with Finance about payroll matters
- Using rostering software applications as required to support roster coordination
- Using LMS software application for managing and tracking mandatory staff training.
Who are you and what will you bring?
- Qualification in business, administration, accounts, finance, human resource management (or working towards) will be considered. Applicants who do not hold formal qualifications will be considered if they can show significant relevant vocational experience.
- Administration, accounts, finance, human resource management experience in the residential aged care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Currently hold and maintain an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Please note - Covid Vaccinations are NO longer a requirement
- Be passionate about delivering a person-centered approach to care
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
