The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists within the Paediatric Outpatients Department team to join us an Administrative Officer (ASO2) on a full-time, ongoing basis.
The Administrative Officer is responsible for:
- Comprehensive confidential administrative services to the Surgical Departments
- Coordinating patient admissions, facilitating equipment and stationary ordering, and booking patient follow up appointments, updating patient demographics and arriving patients into clinic.
- Administrative support to the Nursing Unit Managers, and other professional staffing members as directed by the Administrative Manager, Surgical Services
- Working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the service of excellence provided by WCHN facility users including staff, patients and students.

About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in an administration type role
- Demonstrated competency in word processing, excel, power point, e-mail and scheduler
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated initiative and good organisational skills, ability to set priorities, work under pressure and undertake some problem solving with limited assistance
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
