Ocean Made Seafood (OMS) is a leading name in the seafood industry, supplying high-quality seafood to some of the best restaurants, cafes, and catering companies across Australia. OMS prioritises quality seafood sourced directly from reliable suppliers and markets, focusing on freshness and exceptional taste.

OMS is seeking a confident and personable Administration Officer to join their team,to assist with HR, Payroll, Accounts Payableand other administrative duties.The position is based in Collingwood and is a part-time position, working four (4) days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire payroll process, including data entry, verification and processing of pay whilst ensuring complete compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements
  • Address all payroll-related queries from employees
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors
  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring complete accuracy 
  • Assist with human resources (HR) tasks, including onboarding, record-keeping, preparing contracts and HR documentation
  • Assist with customer service including answering phone calls and customer inquiries 
  • Draft and distribute internal and external communications
  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining a productive and organised work environment and other general office tasks

About You:

  • Previous experience in Payroll (preferred)
  • Exposure to HR (advantageous) 
  • Experience in Accounts Payable (non-essential) 
  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You have the ability to build strong relationships
  • You have high organisational skills and attention to detail
  • You have basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with / familiar with using Microsoft Dynamics (accounting software) (preferable)
  • You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising tasks effectively
