The NDIS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports people with disability to participate in and contribute to improving social and economic life, as well as provide certainty that people with disability will receive the care and support, they need over their lifetime. The NDIS provides multiple ways to assist people with disability to exercise choice, including taking reasonable risks in the pursuit of their goals and the planning and delivery of their supports. Your Opportunity
Based in Midland covering the Northeast Metro region of Perth, the Administration Officer will provide support for the effective operation of the Mission Australia office. You will be the welcoming first point of contact for all site visitors and inbound service calls and emails, managing workflow through the NDIA Client Record Management system, as well as fulfilling other key administrative tasks that are vital to the efficient running of the service.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and supportive experience for people engaging with our services.
- Conduct a range of administration tasks including but not limited to management of calendars, meeting minute taking and recording, data entry, responding to correspondence from clients and other office duties.
- Update and review the National Disability Insurance Agency’s Case Management Record system when taking inbound calls and following interactions with NDIS Participants or their stakeholders.
- Resolve general queries received by members of the public, and NDIS Participants and their stakeholders.
- Highly professional and courteous, verbal, and written communication that is aligned with the Mission Australia Code of Conduct.
- Complete administrative duties including SharePoint document filing, purchasing and accounts work.
- Maintain all fleet vehicles and respond to all building maintenance issues as they arise.
- Provide other team support activities as required to support the delivery of services.
With significant experience in an administrative role and demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable people, you will be confident managing competing priorities and working with people displaying challenging behaviours. Other requirements include:
- Highly competent in using computer packages such as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Knowledge of Local Community Supports.
- Exceptional level of customer service skill and experience.
- Demonstrated solutions focused thinking and problem solving.
- Experienced in the use of databases and online information systems and records management.
- High level organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical, literacy, numeracy, and verbal communication skill.
- Client focused and respectful with vulnerable people who are accessing our services.
- Ability to hold firm personal and professional boundaries.
- Ability to engage and work inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strat Islander People, CALD & LGBTIQA+ Communities.
- NDIS Worker Screening and NDIA On-Boarding requirements
- Full driver licence with no restrictions
