About the role
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our passionate and vibrant technical team at Buildsafe. Reporting into the Estimating Team Leader, you will work alongside a team of experts to prepare cost estimates in a timely manner.
Other Key functions of the role:
- Develop and provide accurate quotes, identifying the labour, material and time required for each job;
- Assist in Purchase Order entry, ensuring correct allowances and rates are applied;
- Use computer software to measure specific safety products and scaffolding;
- Provide expert advice to builders, carpenters and other clientele to determine their safety needs;
- Generate and prepare reports when required.
About you
To join our dynamic team, you will need to be a forward-thinking individual with a strong work ethic and can demonstrate the below:
- Thorough understanding of residential construction plans
- Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
- Have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Consistently be able to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Have an eye for detail
- Intermediate computer skills – Microsoft Suite & CRM
- A trade or estimating qualification/experience
- Previous experience in scaffolding/safety solutions costing (advantageous but not essential)
- An understanding of the importance of high-quality customer service in the process of building strong relationships with our clients
