The Wentworth Institute of Higher Education (WIN Higher Ed) is a small, young, vibrant college with a creative edge offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in a number of disciplinary areas including Accounting, Business, Information Technology and Interactive Media.
WIN Higher Ed is student focused and our primary goal is to provide students with a quality education which will enable them to pursue worthwhile careers. The importance of staff development for ensuring a quality student experience is recognised and supported. Most of our students are currently international but we are working to also see a growing domestic student body.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries, requests and conduct the initial consultation with students.
- Manage and record student enrolment including personal details to RTO and PRISMS.
- Process Status Letter, Absence Letter, Completion Letter, Certificates and Statement of Attainments within appropriate turnaround times - meeting regulatory requirements.
- General office administration and other tasks as required at certain times of the year such as assisting with Graduation Ceremonies, Orientation Sessions and new and continuing student enrolments.
- Assist your direct report with administrative tasks as required.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively with other staff as part of the team.
- Answer incoming calls and direct calls to relevant department.
- Contact students (mail merge or individually) on behalf of administration, management, academic staff
Required Skills
Essential:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to mail merge through Excel and Word into Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic business communication/etiquette, including email etiquette
- Ability to communicate clearly with people of all backgrounds, including culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Empathy and compassion towards students
Desirable:
- Experience within learning environments such as those found in VET or Higher Education organisations
