About you:
In your new role you will…
- Possess well-developed skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications and information databases.
- Have proven ability to work autonomously and act as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality services to clients.
- Provide high level of oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations. (e.g. with admin team members, clients and their families, medical and nursing staff).
- Have experience and ability to interact with the public with care, empathy and compassion at all times.
- Possess an awareness of and ability to apply and adhere to organisational policies, including policies relating to human resources and workplace health and safety.
About your role:
- Assisting all staff in the work area and develop a highly compatible and supportive working team, whilst demonstrating effective communication skills, empathy, and understanding, in a patient focused environment.
- On a daily basis maintaining electronic patient records in Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS), including the creation of new and the update of existing registrations, as well as the collection of private patient details.
- Managing sessions as requested by clinical staff which includes, creating, cancelling and closing of appointments.
- Maintaining wait lists and audit processes, and where appropriate reschedule or cancel appointments, and link them in appointment scheduling.
- Consult with appropriate Health funds and Medicare for clarification of health coverage and arrange the completion and signing of necessary Health Fund and Medicare claim forms.
