Access theThe aim of this service is to deliver exceptional patient centred care to patients across the SCHHS, through integrated, evidenced based, high quality multidisciplinary care. The ophthalmology team consists of medical, nursing and allied health staff, who provide a service for both adult and paediatric patients.The Administrative Officer role is an integral role within the Outpatients team, providing a high level of confidential administrative support for outpatient services within the Outpatients Centre at Caloundra Health Service. This position is a prime point of contact for internal communication on a daily basis and externally with various departments and agencies. This position operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position whilst maintaining open channels of communication.Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate appointments for various meetings with relevant staff on behalf of the team and perform secretariat function for relevant meetings as appropriate.
- Assist with the organisation and co-ordination of user group project meetings and assist with preparation of sessions including photocopying, circulation of documents, preparation of meeting material (including power point presentations), booking conference rooms and equipment.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces
