About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Part Time position at 24 hours per fortnight within the Children’s Bioethics Centre.
You would be reporting to the Academic and Clinical Director who share administrative responsibility in the CBC, but also supporting the other ethicists, education officer and CNC. The main meeting of the week which requires administrative support is our Operations Meeting on Monday morning. We need administrative support organising ethics response group and MDT meetings, Clinical Ethics Committee meeting quarterly (arranging and distributing minutes and agenda). There are various educational initiatives which need administrative assisting such as the annual conference, podcasts, courses and ward teaching. After the Monday meeting, working days can be flexible, but ideally distributed across the week to capture the work as it comes in (e.g. Wednesdays and Fridays)
What you’ll achieve:
Provide administrative support for CBC engagement with Executive, RCH Foundation and RCH Clinical Ethics Committee
Provide confidential secretarial/administrative support for Clinical and Academic Directors
Classification for this position will range from AO31-AO35
Your skills and experience:
Previous experience in an administrative role
Confident user of information technology systems (eg Microsoft 365, invoicing system, eg Coupa)

The Children’s Bioethics Centre supports staff at RCH by providing ethical advice to clinicians, supports RCH executive with ethical advice, contributes to building capacity in bioethics at RCH through education and conducts world-class research
