The role:
- Contribute to the efficient and effective workflow and sharing of information with key stakeholders by providing a single focal point for incoming and outgoing communications and documentation for the Director.
- Coordinate and distribute significant and confidential documents to senior stakeholders for feedback on issues along with supporting materials.
- Maintain an efficient and effective records management using departmental information systems; sort requests, coordinate responses and track the status of requests and enquiries, ensuring timely responses to the relevant internal and external parties.
- Provide high quality and timely secretariat services, including the preparation of agendas, minutes and meeting papers, for any governance, advisory or working groups established for the HWPU.

The Health Workforce Planning Unit (HWPU) aims to shape Tasmania’s health workforce to better meet the needs of the community and the workforce. To achieve this, the HWPU is:
- coordinating the delivery of the Health Workforce 2040 workforce strategy
- contributing to national and state health workforce planning
- engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to identify workforce barriers and opportunities.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $71,661 - $77,455 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
