This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions.
- The Surgical Admissions role is a Monday to Sunday roster which includes Public Holidays.
- You will be on a set monthly roster rotating between four different roles within the team.
- 18 hours per week, shift times : 06.00 - 14.30 and 07.00 - 15.30.

- You have strong customer services skills and experience with sound interpersonal, communications and conflict resolution skills.
- You have experience working within a team and demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to complete tasks within a defined timeframe.
- You can exercise problem solving skills using reference to established methods and procedures, apply policy, legislation and processes to achieve workflow outcomes.
- The Surgical Admissions Department provides service to our patients on their booked admission to Gosford Hospital.
- Exceptional customer service and a collaborative approach to teamwork is a standard that is essential to this role.
- Promotes the use of private health insurance and the benefits of the revenue generated by providing services and equipment for inpatient units with effective questioning techniques.
- You will enjoy engaging with our patients, family, and community members daily both in the Surgical Admission Centre and within the Inpatient Units and have a suitable level of resilience when interviewing patients’ where it may be uncomfortable and/or distressing.
- Your administration skills will be of a high-level ensuring accuracy in a timely manner.
- Experience with computer software programs including MS Office is preferred.
- You will also need to ensure you follow policy on infection control by adhering to the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment for each patient you interview.
- The Surgical Admissions team are a small team, however, work very closely along side other Patient Services teams and internal stakeholders to provide the best for our patients and community.
