President Private Hospital (PPH) is a Rehabilitation hospital with a highly acclaimed Day Rehabilitation Centre and Inpatient Department.
Situated in the Sutherland Shire, PPH offers comprehensive rehabilitation programs for patients presenting with a wide variety of conditions including orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, pain management and reconditioning. We have a large hydrotherapy pool, two large gymnasiums and an exceptional functional rehabilitation space.

ABOUT THE ROLE & DUTIES
We are seeking a highly motivated staff member to be a part of our established Administration team. This role will entail administering and organising the flow of patients within our Day Only Rehabilitation Program. Supporting and reporting to the Allied Health Manager & Administration Manager you will be results driven and understand the importance of accurate & concise admission of patients.
DUTIES
- Front desk customer service
- Patients’ admissions/discharges,
- Daily reporting of inpatient and day patient beds
- Liaising with health funds re patient’s accounts,
- Taking payments, receipting payments
- Liaising with GP’s and specialist’s rooms
- Coordinating appointments with Doctors’ rooms and Therapists
- Managing scheduling and bookings of patient sessions
- General administrative duties
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Highly professional phone manner and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in hospital’s admissions bookings and knowledge of pre- admissions’ policy
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and initiate action
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Well-developed computer skills including accurate data entry skills with good attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a part of a collaborative team
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT applications
- Experience dealing with all patient needs
- Self-directed work approach
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Experienced in the use of the Webpas patient management system
- A sound knowledge of health fund eligibility and payment processes
- Previous experience working in a Medical or Private Hospital setting would be an advantage
