About the Role

Working closely with the Senior Manager, International Admissions & Compliance, we are seeking an Admissions Systems and Operations Officer to optimise admissions operations and to deliver the University's student recruitment outcomes.

The Admissions Systems and Operations Officer will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, enhancement and development of international Admissions Systems and associated workflow processes. This role will also see you supporting the Flinders International agent representative network.

The position will have responsibility for ensuring relevant systems function at an optimal level to support the processing of international student applications across all channels. The position has a strong focus on customer and partner experience through efficiency of application processing and outcomes.

This role also requires:

  • Maintaining and improving standard operating procedures and ensuring that staff are adequately skilled, supported and trained to maximise the efficiency of admissions processing.
  • Improve Admissions Systems and address/resolve problems in a timely and responsive manner to meet the changing requirements of prospective international students and University partners.
  • Providing customer service and support to the agent network in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Working with internal groups and with external stakeholders to advocate and enhance system capacity through collaboration and engagement.

About You

The successful applicant will have excellence in customer service which includes cultivating and maintaining a strong client focussed culture in a team environment. You will also have exceptional planning and operational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage complex workflows.
You will have a high level of analytical skills, with the experience to innovate solutions to complex problems.

To be successful in this role you will also demonstrate:

  • Experience in identifying and managing enhanced system and process improvement that utilises knowledge of digital literacy and relevant systems.
  • Proficiency with computers and technology and up to date on changing product features and services.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and be flexible and open to implementing change.
  • Knowledge of the ESOS Act, Government visa policies and the National Code as they relate to the assessment and issuance of international student applications and agent management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in a cross-cultural working environment.
  • Training of groups and individuals - regarding technology and business processes.
