Exciting role for a driven individual to provide executive support within the busy, dynamic office of the Vice-Chancellor and President

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a busy and dynamic office, working with a dedicated team to provide high level executive support and office management within the Office of the Vice Chancellor and President.

Working under broad direction, the Executive Officer, Operations is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of confidential executive support services to the Director and the Vice-Chancellor, including finance and procurement, budgetary reporting, human resource support, information management and technical support for the Office. The position liaises with key stakeholders to organise and manage complex travel for the Vice-Chancellor, including T&E acquittal, and provides senior executive support along with assistance to other team members within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated extensive experience in providing high level senior executive support.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of systems for document tracking and follow up.
  • Proven experience in arranging complex travel logistics and business itineraries.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a finance function of an Office, including record keeping and financial management and reporting.
  • Exceptional customer service delivery, across all modes of communication, including a high level of business writing skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with Senior Executives and high ranking officials.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under broad direction with a large degree of autonomy undertaking complex tasks, while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
