About the role
The Advanced Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) of the Emergency Department uses their clinical knowledge and experience to provide strategic and operational leadership, governance, and direction for nursing services for the Emergency Department. This role balances and integrates strategic and operational perspectives across the Department, also contributing at a Divisional level. This role will report to the Nurse Lead - AUC TQEH. The Advanced Nurse Unit Manager works in partnership with the ED Head of Unit and Deputy Head of Unit of TQEH Emergency Department and accepts accountability for the governance and practice standards of nurses; the development and effectiveness of systems to support, to evaluate and consistently improve nursing practice and healthy work environments, safety and quality and the cost-effective provision of health services. The Adv NUM will work collaboratively with the Head of Unit and assistant Head of Unit of TQEH Emergency Department to implement strategies to enhance patient and caregiver experiences, consumer engagement and effective patient flow within the Emergency Department. The Adv NUM provides corporate management, professional nursing advice, senior leadership and management commensurate with Level 4 position.
Qualifications:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a general Nurse by the Nurses Board of South Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
