About the role
Medical Imaging nursing is a developing area of specialist practice, requiring a broad clinical knowledge in multiple clinical areas of practice including emergency, inpatient, interventional and outpatient presentations and applying this knowledge within a Medical Imaging environment ensuring continuity of patient care.
The Nurse Unit Manager, Medical Imaging accepts accountability for:
- The outcomes of nursing practices in the Medical Imaging setting.
- Addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
- Creating an environment conducive to learning.
- Developing team performance and a positive work culture in the interest of patient/client outcomes.
- Material and human resource management.
- The Nurse Unit Manager leads the nursing team and undertakes a combination of patient care area/ team leadership and resource management
This position is based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Essential Requirements:
Educational/Vocational Qualifications
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
