The role
The Advanced Public Health/Health Promotion Officer is responsible for providing advanced strategic leadership, advice and analysis for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of complex preventive health policy and strategy (state and national level) to improve the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders, with a particular focus on the three national cancer screening programs.
The successful person
You will have:
- a tertiary degree in Health Promotion or Public Health.
- the ability to apply specialised knowledge, analysis, expertise and skills to the development of systemic and effective solutions to complex preventive health policy and cancer screening program challenges.
- The ability to lead strategic change through effective communication, consultation and negotiation skills.
- flexibility in approach to work and working environment and willingness to participate in cross program initiatives.
