About Us:Strategic Communication delivers communication services on behalf of the Department of Justice and Community Safety's (DJCS) business units to inform and educate the community about departmental policies, programs and legislation.
About the Role:The Adviser, Media provides communication support and advice to the department's business units, senior executives and ministerial offices.
Some of your duties will include:- Researching and preparing media releases, speeches and other communication material.
- Proactively promoting initiatives and policies through the media and respond to media enquiries.
- Preparing and reviewing reports on media coverage.

About You:As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in development and delivery of a range of communication activities and functions.
- A knowledge of State Government and department communication policies and processes is desired, but not essential.
Qualifications:- A tertiary qualification in journalism, public relations or other communication-related discipline is desirable.
