Applications are invited for position of Assistant Adviser based in Brisbane.
The successful applicant would provide Dr Rudd with communications and research support in his capacity as the 26th Prime Minister of Australia.
This position would suit a highly motivated person with sound judgment, reliable research skills and experience in media and communications. The candidate would have a strong interest in Australian politics and public policy including Indigenous affairs.
Our small team supports Dr Rudd's continuing contribution to public life beyond his parliamentary service. This includes coordinating with the Australian Embassy in Washington DC, as well as institutions in which Dr Rudd holds positions, such as the National Apology Foundation.
The Assistant Adviser position is offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 and conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2020-23.
A salary within the range $84,789 - $101,701 p.a. (plus 15.4% superannuation) will be determined commensurate with skills and experience. This position would commence in June and a probationary period of 3 months will apply. Remote or work-from-home arrangements by agreement.
