The Governance, Performance & Outcomes team is focused on supporting Wesley Mission Queensland in achieving its strategic objectives. This team has many subject matter experts with specialisations in clinical governance, risk management, compliance, digital security, work health & safety, social impacts & outcomes and legal services. This high performing team operates with an agile mindset and seeks to achieve a quality and safe customer experience at all times.
About the Role
As a key member of the Governance, Performance and Outcomes (GPO) team, this role will deliver a range of risk-based Internal Audit services, play a substantial role in continuous improvement and promoting a pro-active and positive risk culture. This role is key in driving the implementation of the Internal Audit plan with a high level of initiative and desire to ensure quality reporting.
About You
You will have a degree qualification in accounting or business related field with recent experience working within Internal Audit teams. Other characteristics required include:
- You are an enthusiastic self-starter with highly developed organisational and time management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion and deal effectively with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all organisational and stakeholder levels.
- Highly proficient in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships and using influencing skills to drive and embed best practice risk and internal control practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A firm grasp of Microsoft Excel, experience in database analytics such as PowerBI or Altreyx is a bonus
- Extensive ability to interpret financial and analytical data.
