About the role
Alice Springs Mens Hostel supports the community with accommodation, case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services. The role of the After-Hours team is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all clients and staff outside of business hours. The After-Hours team will operate in keeping with the Case Management Plan for each client and the policies and procedures of The Salvation Army.
This is a Permanent Part-Time Role (28 hours per week), based in Alice Springs NT. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 3.
You will Successfully
- Ensure continuity of client care, progress and outcomes of case plans are monitored and clearly communicated to relevant staff for handover.
- Keep accurate, up to date client records and ensure data is maintained including administrative requirements.
- Establish effective work relationships and maintain regular communication with key staff, case managers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor building activity and security via CCTV and proactively manage grounds while respecting the rights and privacy of residents and their visitors.
- Provide an immediate and appropriate response to incidents that impact on resident safety and security in accordance with site policies and procedure; including critical incidents and emergencies.
- Ensure that centre guidelines, policies and procedures are always adhered to, and any breaches are reported to Manager immediately.
You will have
- A Certificate III in Community Services or similar, or willingness to undertake.
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a similar role.
- Experience working with people who may not have English as a first language.
- An NT Working With Children Check (Ochre card) clearance (required prior to commencing).
- A Current NT Driver's Licence
