AddressHands On People is currently hiring experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team at our Darwin Location, in the Northern Territory.
The successful candidate will possess the experience to work with individuals with complex care needs. Local applicants are preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Medication administration.
- Home Based Daily Living Support.
- Taking participants for appointments and other community participation.
- Behaviour observation and support.
- Meal preparation and shopping assistance.
- Maintaining a record of participant progress.
- Assessing participants to determine continuing needs.
- Assistance in building participant self-image and self-confidence.
- Manual Handling of participants.
- Availability to cover a range of shifts including sleepovers and weekends.
Required:
- Must have own vehicle for transport with comprehensive insurance.
- The candidate must be able to work varied shifts.
Selection Criteria:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Ageing with any relevant experience.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current State/Territory Unrestricted Driver’s Full License
- Ochre Card
