Two Providores is expanding into a new purpose-built warehouse in Chullora. We supply specialty artisan produce and essentials to quality restaurants, cafes, caterers, wholesalers, and retailers in NSW and the ACT. We focus on supporting those who promote sustainable farming and who continue to improve their manufacturing processes to benefit the environment and community. Our goal is to keep Australian producers producing.
The Role
This pivotal hands on role in the Warehouse operations team will be bring together a cross-over shift in a new environment of processes and technology with the primary focus on improving the team capability, maintaining a positive and supportive culture, and assisting in implementing new efficiencies and strategies as we settle into new premises and larger scale operations.
The Afternoon Shift will operate Sunday to Thurs night from 4pm to midnight, approximate hours will be discussed further at the interview stage.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure proactive and collaborative leadership to warehouse teams across the afternoon and cross over of evening shifts
- Oversee a team of 15 responsible for continuous operations of the pick and pack cycle
- Manage workflows, scheduling, and staffing requirements within budget
- Maintain connections and communication with team members to develop a culture of safety, responsibility and accountability
- Coordinating team training and development, identifying and developing future talent
- Providing support for recruitment processes as needed
- Conducting and facilitating team meetings on a regular schedule
- Working closely with key stakeholders across the business (operations, inventory, sales and purchasing)
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Previous track record of team leadership
- Experience with shift work will be well regarded
- Strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
- Ability to drive constructive culture with commitment to team engagement and recognition
- Ability to coach and develop team members
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders across all levels of operations.
- Knowledge of regulations and Australian Standards related to the Food Industry will be highly regarded.
- Strong computer skills are essential
- Forklift licence
