• Permanent, full-time position
• Small aged care facility - only four residents at the moment but can hold up to 12 + Community Care Management element
• Base rate of $120,000.00 per annum + 11% superannuation (negotiable dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Seeking a manager who has an aged care and management background and understands the Aged Care Standards and NATSIAC Funding Agreements
• Required to be AHPRA registered and still practicing as there will be times that they are the nurse on duty, not just the manager.
• Very quiet facility so suited to someone who doesn't want anything too busy, great role if you want to step in and really make the facility a better place and shape it into something great.
• Oversee the efficient and effective management and administration of all aspects within Aged and Community Care Teams.
• Manage staff, optimise resources, and strive to ensure the highest standards of patient/resident care and satisfaction.

The Organisation
For more than three decades, this organisation has been delivering an affordable and easily accessible Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service, offering a variety of culturally sensitive, patient-centred services. They are dedicated to enhancing the well-being and health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals in the Ceduna area and its environs. The organisation also operate a fully accredited, 24-hour residential aged care facility.
The Location
You will be living and working in a town located on the west coast of South Australia, about 780km west of Adelaide. This town is a picturesque coastal location with a rich cultural heritage, diverse economy, and abundant natural attractions, making it an appealing destination for travellers and a welcoming community for residents.
Qualifications & Experience Required

• AHPRA Registered Nurse with experience in aged care and or management
• Previous experience as an Aged Care Manager or similar role, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple programs or areas simultaneously
• Proficiency in utilising electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare management software
• Current National Police Check, DHS WWCC, and DHS Aged Care Screening
• Current valid Driver Licence
• Evidence of immunisation status (including current flu vaccination and at least 3x COVID vaccinations)

About You

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing tasks and priorities
• Passionate about Aged Care and improving outcomes
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and of the industry itself, in order to make informed decisions and to ensure the facility meets accreditation standards
