Key Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
• Responsible for providing Reservations, Ticketing and Inside Sales Support to the trade, customers and commercial sales team on behalf of the GSA Airlines.
• Responsible for quoting/ticketing and managing Group/MICE business on behalf of the GSA Airlines.
• Provide operational support to the sales team, which may include reporting, putting together point of sale material, assistance with events, coordinating presentations and compiling content for newsletters.
• Update/maintain CRM & airline database/portals.
• Monitor competitor activities and conduct fare benchmarking.
• Monitor validity of the fares and take necessary actions in consultation with the sales team.
• Assist the management team where needed with commercial activities inclusive of, but not limited to, strategic planning, account development, performance analysis, initiative development and implementation, internal and external coordination.
• Work collaboratively with wider commercial team to drive and achieve outcomes focused on revenue growth.
Core Competencies & Skills Required:
• Minimum 2 years in an airline or travel agency.
• CRS / GDS Knowledge in Reservations & Ticketing – minimum 1 GDS.
• A thorough knowledge of pricing, airfare construction, groups, airline policies and procedures.
• A commitment to customer service with an exceptional phone manner.
• Strong computer skills including a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office functionalities.
• Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure to meet customer expectations.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian & New Zealand travel industry.
• Self-motivated, and possesses a positive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
