How will I help?
This position will be assigned to work across multiple projects on our Cloud portfolio. This role will lead and manage project activities that deliver business and/or technology solutions with a strong focus on cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure & AWS), enabling Westpac to achieve its strategic goals, business benefits and outcomes. #LI-Hybrid
Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise methodologies and processes, such as the Agile Execution Framework (AEF) and Solution Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) and provide input to develop and improve such methodologies and processes, to meet best practice and ensure regulatory and legal compliance of all work on the project.
  • Project manage projects & initiatives using Westpac's governance frameworks- integrated delivery plan, comms & engagement plan, impact assessments, RAID and interdependencies management and escalation management
  • Engage, inform, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders, particularly the service delivery teams who will be responsible for the technology services after project completion, and key business stakeholders (as required by the Program Director) to ensure stakeholders remain engaged and committed throughout the project.
  • Optimise resource allocation to minimise non-productive time, by using a shared resource model across large and/or complex projects/programs; provide direction and guidance to others

What do I need?
The successful candidate will have:
  • 5+ years' experience within projects and/or delivery of technology solutions
  • 3+ years working in a large and complex organisation & financial services industry delivering cloud-based solutions.
  • Running projects with financial budgets up to $10M
  • Significant experience coordinating changes to IT infrastructure to align with building works including outside of business hours.
  • Negotiation skills required to work with PMs, project stakeholders, external suppliers, and various IT teams.
  • Exposure and diverse experience with different IT infrastructure environments within the Westpac Group
  • Qualifications in project management methodology and standards
  • Project Management accreditation
  • Agile Certifications (SAFe, Scrum)
