Remuneration: AHP2 ($86,950 - $100,729 p.a. + 11% Super) / PO2 ($86,950 - $96,223 p.a. +11% Super)Role DetailsThe Department for Child Protection is currently seeking a Senior Social Worker or Senior Case Manager to join the Inner South office on a full-time term basis.This role is responsible for:
- Conducting the most complex investigations and assessments in a child-centred manner, focused on the safety of the child and on the support of the parent/family to effectively and safely care for their child
- Providing written and verbal reports which are concise, informative and based on analysis of evidence gathered and includes being a witness in court proceedings
- Responding to notifications of child abuse and outcomes of investigations, and where necessary review and reassess and be open to a change of view in responding to new evidence
- Assisting families by working in partnership with them to support the safe return of their children to their care and to work directly with children in care to assure their development, stability and security at all times.
AHP: A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
