- Lead the Corporate Property and facilities management team to achieve a high-level of commercial performance and to deliver high quality services that drives improvement in safety, future ways of working and efficiency.
- Provide expert commercial advice and recommendations to the Executive Leadership team on all aspects of land and property transactions, such as lease, easement and license contracts and property/land acquisitions and disposal contracts.
- Lead the development of a Property divestment strategy ensuring operational and environmental requirements are considered as part of the decision making process.
- Accountable for Corporate offices ensuring they are properly maintained, cleaned and safe having well managed, cost effective preferred supplier contracts and/or panel arrangements in place.
- Direct Corporate Property projects including the development of options papers, business cases, budget approval, costing, project delivery (including project, contract and change management) and benefits realisation.
- Manage the property CAPEX and OPEX budget and ongoing forecast in compliance with Financial Delegations, reporting and governance frameworks.
- Establish effective systems, processes and reporting to enable the accurate, timely and efficient financial management of property outgoings (e.g., water rates, council rates, land tax) and revenue contracts (e.g., leases and licenses).
- Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) outcomes are achieved by facilitating commercial arrangements with the private sector on biodiversity and carbon sequestration opportunities.
- Relevant Tertiary degree or experience deemed equivalent
- Applied knowledge of corporate processes and structures to drive desired outcomes.
- Understanding of property and WHS legislation, standards and practices.
- Commercial and financial management experience with respect to a diverse property and land portfolio.
- Proven experience in coaching and leading continual improvement in team performance and cultural change
- Experience in designing, interpreting, obtaining key insights, documenting and sharing the narrative from a range of data collated from a wide range of sources
- Experience in developing and implementing frameworks that enable the commercial management of a large property and land portfolio.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
