Role Introduction
Cathay Pacific is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our fantastic MelbourneEngineeringTeam to perform maintenance on Cathay Pacific and third party aircrafts. This is a permanent, full-time position.
This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is pivotal in ensuring that a high level of safety, reliability, security and presentation is provided to the company, customers and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft line maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third party customers under supervision of the Licensed Engineer or Engineering Manager
- Perform servicing and maintenance for station ground equipment, vehicles, systems and facilities
- Support the contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc.
- Provide and deliver a high level and personalised service to customers
- Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with local Occupational Health & Safety standards
Requirements
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Engineering
- Experience with wide-body aircraft types, including B787, B777, A350, A330, A380 and B747-8 Freighter aircrafts
- Excellent organisational skills
- Attention to detail and high level accuracy is imperative
- Sensitive to the requirements of different cultures and personalities
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Proven ability to operate effectively with limited information and working independently without supervision
- Ability to work safely under time pressures
- Willing to work appropriate shifts on a 24 hour, seven day a week roster pattern in accordance with operational requirements
