Our continual growth has presented an excellent opportunity for a Traffic Control Manager to join the team.
About the role:
This is an exciting FULL TIME office based position, managing everything traffic related.
Reporting to our General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible managing our VicRoads accredited traffic management division, lead a team of 6 -10 traffic controllers and will also work with our external traffic management partners.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks associated with traffic management
- Drafting of Traffic Management Plans, Traffic Guidance Schemes and Risk Assessments
- Applying for VicRoads, council and authority required permits & approvals in a timely manner
- Recruitment, training & performance management of traffic management personnel
- Scheduling traffic management personnel to our sites
- Maintenance of all traffic management vehicles
- Provide support and leadership to the traffic management teams
- Work with the site crew leaders
- Coordinate traffic management access & requirements with site managers & council
- Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Guidance Schemes
- Complete traffic management site audits
- Ensure satisfactory completion of required SWMS & all other documentation
- Report on site hazards and near misses
- Develop and improve current processes
- Ad Hoc duties as required
Skills & Experience:
- Min 5+ years’ experience as a traffic control manager/planner
- Experience using Invarion RapidPlan software (essential)
- Qualification in RIICWD503E (essential)
- Prepare traffic management designs and traffic guidance schemes
- Hold current OH&S White card, traffic control Blue and Yellow Cards or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Is an expert in all things traffic management
