ABOUT THE ROLE
Our operation based in Townsville, Queensland currently delivers training support to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and are currently seeking:
Aircraft Safety Equipment Technician / Trainer & Assessor – Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
Our trainees go through Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) in conditions that they could face in real life. We provide realistic training to ensure that each trainee is comfortable and confident in the skill sets they have been trained to increase their chances of survival in the event there is an incident.
Essential:
- Aircraft Safety Equipment Technician (Civil or Military qualification)
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
- Capable of passing an Occupational Dive medical (AS/NZ 2299.1 2015)
- Australian Resident or applicable visa.
- Ability to provide a Police clearance prior to hiring.
Desirable experience:
- Cert IV in TAE – 40116 or later (Highly desirable)
- Aviation or helicopter background
- Proven instructional and assessment experience
- Rescue Diver (Highly desirable)
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide ASET support for training
- Assist with the delivery of training and assessment during HUET courses
- Contribute to a safe and efficient workplace
- Assist and support other team members as required
