Allied Health Assistant

We are seeking a Casual Allied Health Assistant for community work in the Sunshine Coast. The Allied Health Assistant will assist the physiotherapists by implementing exercise programs with our aged care clients. The successful candidate will need to be a good motivator to facilitate the enjoyment of the programs for the clients.  Some administrative work may also be included.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills/ qualifications:

• Certificate III or above - Allied Health Assistant or related qualification (and/ or experience in an Allied Health Assistant role)
• Excellent communication skills - involving regular communication with clients and physiotherapists
• Organisational skills - to organise your appointment calendar and update therapists of client progress on a regular basis.
• Ability to inspire our seniors - let's face it - not everyone loves to exercise!
• Valid Australian Driver's licence  (and own car)
• Enjoy working in a small team environment
• Ability to work autonomously
• Ability to work from home (administrative work)
• The right to work in Australia
• A Police Check will be required for the successful candidate

Initially the role would be 1-2 days per week with the opportunity for extra days in the future. Hours are flexible - work around school/ commitments to suit your schedule.
