Job Description:Challenging and rewarding work environmentFriendly and supportive team environmentPermanent position, 0.9 FTEAbout the RoleThe Allied Health Assistant (AHA) will be responsible for clinical support and administrative assistance to Complex Care Services and ALERT. Working under supervision, the AHA will provide intervention in the clients own home environment, within the hospital setting and/or in the community. The AHA will predominantly work with Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy to assist them to support client care plans.
The AHA will provide delegated individual client sessions, assist with joint client sessions, undertake administrative and supportive tasks. The AHA will work under direction and supervision of Allied Health professionals to support the delivery of high quality care for clients with chronic diseases and complex care needs. The role involves direct and indirect clinical care, maintaining an active caseload and supporting clients to develop self-management skills in relation to their health and wellbeing and progressing the plan of care.
