Townsville Community Health are seeking a client focused Allied Health Assistant to join their highly experienced and supportive team for a permanent full-time role.
The Allied Health Assistant will contribute to patient care by providing clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision.
The Allied Health Assistant position will work a Monday – Friday roster.

Townsville Community Falls Team
The Townsville Community Falls Team is a team of Allied Health aiming to optimise function of the Townsville Community who have had or are at risk of a fall event. Operating 7 days the service will provide rapid assessment and interventions to Townsville residents within their home environment.
Generous remuneration package value up to $79,737 p.a.comprising:
- Salary rates between $2548.10 - $2678.70 p.f. (CA3)
- Annual leave loading + leave

Role requirement
- While not mandatory, a Certificate IV – Allied Health Assistant would be well regarded. Evidence of any Certificates/Qualifications held to be provided prior to commencement of duty.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
- Clinical Ability:
- Under supervision, demonstrated ability to provide a defined range of patient interventions as delegated by the Allied Health Therapist.
- Ability to work under direction and within the limitations of a defined role in patient care.
- Ability to effectively use computers and general office equipment and to quickly acquire ability to use new information and data systems.
- Ability to learn and commitment to train in specific handling and technical skills and competencies relevant to the position.
- Team Participation/ Communication:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team with a good understanding of own scope of practice in a complex and demanding work environment.
- Demonstrated skills in self-organisation and initiative to enable the timely completion of a variety of tasks allowing efficient service function.
