Allied Health Assistant

We have a part-time or casual Allied Health Assistant role available in Ferntree Gully. The available weekly shifts include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Please only apply if you are available for at least two shifts each week.

Tasks / Responsibilities

• Deliver sessions to clients as outlined by the senior Allied Health clinician.
• Prepare resources and materials as outlined by the senior Allied Health clinician.
• Attend supervision sessions with the senior Allied Health clinician.
• Deliver therapy plan to clients.
• Work as a team with the other therapy assistants, Allied Health professionals and support workers.
• Write clinic notes for therapy sessions delivered.
• Communicate progress and obstacles with goals to the senior clinician
• Attend case conferences 
• Provide administration assistance to clinicians (e.g., creating resources).
• Attend team meetings
• Attend 1:1 and group supervision sessions
• Sessions will take place in client homes and in the community. 
• You are not required to drive clients.

Qualifications and Experiences

• Certificate IV in Allied Health or
• Studying Occupational Therapy or relevant Allied Health profession 
• Experience working with adolescents and young adults
• An understanding of Autism, Intellectual Disability and other developmental disabilities
• NDIS Worker Screener
• Working with Children Check
