We have a part-time or casual Allied Health Assistant role available in Ferntree Gully. The available weekly shifts include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Please only apply if you are available for at least two shifts each week.
Tasks / Responsibilities
- Deliver sessions to clients as outlined by the senior Allied Health clinician.
- Prepare resources and materials as outlined by the senior Allied Health clinician.
- Attend supervision sessions with the senior Allied Health clinician.
- Deliver therapy plan to clients.
- Work as a team with the other therapy assistants, Allied Health professionals and support workers.
- Write clinic notes for therapy sessions delivered.
- Communicate progress and obstacles with goals to the senior clinician
- Attend case conferences
- Provide administration assistance to clinicians (e.g., creating resources).
- Attend team meetings
- Attend 1:1 and group supervision sessions
- Sessions will take place in client homes and in the community.
- You are not required to drive clients.
Qualifications and Experiences
- Certificate IV in Allied Health or
- Studying Occupational Therapy or relevant Allied Health profession
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults
- An understanding of Autism, Intellectual Disability and other developmental disabilities
- NDIS Worker Screener
- Working with Children Check
