About the role:
The Allied Health Clinical Educator sits within the multi-disciplinary Allied Health Education & Research Unit located at Goulburn Valley Health. The role is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to maximise opportunities for student clinical placements and education opportunities for Allied Health Professionals and Assistants through all career stages, across all GV Health campuses. The role supports the development of workforce skills, knowledge and capability in all Allied Health professions.
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health Discipline with current AHPRA registration and/or evidence of accredited practitioner and eligibility for membership of relevant professional association as relevant.
- At least 7 years postgraduate experience
- Demonstrated experience in a public health setting including the planning, delivery and evaluation of Allied Health Clinical teaching and education programs.
- Broad experience in the direct clinical supervision of professional entry level students or interns and provision of clinical supervision and mentoring.
- Demonstrated understanding of the public healthcare system in a regional setting and the external influences for increasing demand for student placements, improving support for graduate staff and industry trends which may impact on the Allied Health workforce in relation to education.
- Experience in program redesign and evaluation, process improvement and change management.
