About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for Occupational Therapy (OT) and Social Work (SW) Services to lead our dedicated teams across both Peninsula and Beleura Private Hospitals for a 12-month maternity leave cover. This position is integral in ensuring the provision of exceptional OT and SW services, significantly contributing to patient care and overall experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational and clinical leadership to the OT and SW departments, ensuring high standards of patient care and service delivery.
- Implement strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Allied Health Service Manager to enhance service delivery, aligning with the hospitals' mission and vision.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, promoting interdisciplinary teamwork and continuous learning.
- Manage budgets and allocate resources to ensure the effective operation of the departments.
- Liaise with medical, nursing, and other Allied Health teams to ensure integrated and comprehensive care provision.
- Evaluate performance, develop staff, and provide mentorship to ensure a skilled, motivated, and resilient workforce.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the hospitals in relevant committees, working groups, and external forums to advocate for OT and SW services and contribute to broader healthcare initiatives.
About You
We seek a seasoned health professional with:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy or Social Work, with demonstrated management and leadership experience.
- Proven clinical experience in a healthcare setting and team management skills.
- Strong leadership abilities to foster collaboration and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
- A deep understanding of private health care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using information technology and desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
- Knowledge of contemporary OT and SW practices, relevant legislation, and professional standards.
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate of $69.55 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.

Requirements:
- Vaccination against COVID-19 as approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
