Allied Health Manager and Patient Flow Manager

We are currently seeking a dynamic, passionate, and motivated Allied Health Manager and PatientFlow Manager for a full time 6-month maternity leave position (commencing May). 

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and customer liaison skills with proven ability to manage the hospitals occupancy, Patient Flow and relationships with all referrers. 

The successful applicant will provide clinical and professional leadership to the Allied Health team who are exceptionally focused and passionate about providing individualised care to the patients and their families.

Key areas of focus for this role include:

• Patient flow – Admissions, discharges, bed movements and hospital occupancy
• Complex discharge planning – Support the multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate Patient Flow including supporting MDT 
• Rehabilitation assessment – Review of referrals in relation to Rehabilitation guidelines and health fund requirements
• Onsite contact for Allied Health team and daily management of Allied Health issues and enquiries
• Rostering and time sheet authorisations
• Participating and organisation of QI activities
• Complaints resolution
• Equipment supply and monitoring
• Promoting and supporting ongoing learning and education for Allied Health staff

Skills & Experience
To be successful for this role you will have:

• Relevant bachelor or masters level qualifications in Allied Health
• Minimum 5 years relevant clinical experience
• Experience as a senior clinician and demonstrated ability to supervise junior staff
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team
• Thorough knowledge of rehabilitation guidelines and health fund criteria (desirable)
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and referrers.
• Immaculate presentation
