A day in this role may include:
- Provide evidence based clinical support to participants and families who are living with a loved one who has disabilities.
- Provide support and education to participants and their family members around the issues and ongoing concerns relating to their disabilities.
- Conduct assessments with participants to ensure the work completed is effective and measurable!
- Develop and run Allied Health groups.
- Concise and professional reporting for external bodies including National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Education, Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Registration and/or membership with governing body of profession.
- Experience in the provision of assessment and counselling services preferably with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and effective relationship management skills.
- An open-minded and optimistic outlook and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- As an NDIS organization, candidates must have a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and be eligible to apply for a NDIS Worker's Screening before commencing with Define Normal Life Style Supports.
