As the Allied Health Team Leader (Senior Psychologist), a typical day in the role would involve coaching and supporting your team of Telephone Counsellors, managing escalated or complex client situations, running group supervision sessions, reviewing evidenced based research to provide updates and direction to the team.
About Health Contact Centre:
The Health Contact Centre (HCC), Queensland Ambulance Service provides clinical support directly to the community and in support of Hospital and Health Services (HHS) and the Department of Health (DoH). HCC provides confidential health assessment and information services to Queenslanders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using multi-channel delivery models. The centre is staffed by nurses, health practitioners and counsellors to ensure that consumers receive safe, quality and responsive advice.
What we are looking for:
Demonstrated well-developed client-focussed telephone and/or face-to-face counselling knowledge, expertise and skill, including crisis intervention.
Demonstrated well-developed clinical knowledge, expertise and skill in the treatment of dependency issues and the facilitation of health behavioural change.
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision, coaching, training, and management of performance issues to a team of staff.
Demonstrated experience or ability to acquire skills in operational management including co- ordinating and monitoring work priorities and allocating tasks to ensure effective use of resources and high-quality service delivery.
