Where you'll be working
You will be working with a dynamic group of nursing, medical and allied health staff providing care to admitted and non -admitted patients at Royal North Shore Hospital.
What you'll be doing
Provides primary assessment of ophthalmology patients including pre and post-operative care, visual acuity, measurement of eye pressures, Autorefraction, Pachymetry, assessment of ocular motility, OCT, Visual Field, inpatient consultations, and IOL Master scanning and A Scanning.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

• BappSC (Orthoptics) or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in a hospital or health care environment.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience in working with Microsoft office programs and computer literacy with accurate keyboard/data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent team skills by working effectively in a busy multidisciplinary team environment, with an emphasis on the customer.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation with flexible work attitude and ability to adapt to change.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure by undertaking different tasks as assigned.
