We are seeking an experienced registered midwife to join our leadership team as Associate Nurse/midwife manager.
The right applicant will be joining a highly motivated Multidisciplinary Team providing care to families across the West Gippsland community and be committed to quality service provision and women centred care.
This position provides you with the opportunity to gain experience within the team and be part of the planning and transition to our new hospital.
We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced Registered Midwives to work as an Associate Maternity Unit Managers (AMUM) within our Maternity & Gynaecology unit in Warragul. Our preferred candidate will be a sound clinician who is able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational attributes. They will have a willingness to learn new skills with a management focus. As a leader of the nursing and midwifery profession, the AMUMs assist in setting expectations, developing, planning and managing processes to assess, improve and maintain the professions management, clinical educational and support activities.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Current Registration as a Registered Midwife
- Substantial Post Basic experience in Midwifery and Gynaecology nursing, demonstrating clinical expertise with 3-5 years minimum experience.
- Demonstrated role modelling, leadership and management of workflows.
- Aware of ACHS national standards
- Commitment to oversee the processes required for a quality service with a patient centred focus.
- Flexibility and the ability to work all shifts, 12 hour shifts can be considered.
IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
