About the Position
As an Anaesthesia Consultant, you will deliver comprehensive clinical care within the Anaesthesia department, primarily stationed at The Hospital. Your responsibilities will encompass the provision of care to all patients in need of Anaesthesia Department services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering specialized care to patients at an appropriate level.
• Coordinating patient follow-up care.
• Providing clinical oversight to Trainee Medical Officers and Medical Students.
• Participating in an after-hours on-call service as per a predetermined roster.
• Assisting senior management in planning and executing clinical services for patients.
• Cultivating a community networks approach to Anaesthesia development.
The Hospital
- This institution stands as South Australia's largest health network, catering to nearly 30% of the population across the two primary hospitals in Adelaide. - Situated just 20 minutes west of the CBD, this approximately 300-bed acute care teaching hospital serves a diverse patient population. The Emergency Department attends to roughly 125 patients daily, offering a wide range of surgical and procedural services, excluding cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, pediatric, or obstetric care. Currently undergoing a significant redevelopment project worth $314 million, the hospital is slated to unveil a purpose-built clinical services building by mid-2024. This upgrade will encompass a new Emergency Department, additional operating theaters, a procedural suite, a Cardiac Cath lab, enhanced medical imaging services, and an Intensive Care Unit.
The Requirements:

- IMGs who have been assessed by the ANZCA or about to be assessed
- IMG with 10+years experience in UK/ CA Pathway Experience
