Your new role:
Operating as part of the broader Finance Business Partnering team, the purpose of this role is to undertake analysis and prepare management reporting to support the Senior Finance Partner in the FP&A function, provide timely cost information to various stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes in cost management.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Undertaking data gathering, interpretation, and analysis; identifying key insights (this can include variance analysis, and highlighting issues on an exception basis); and incorporating supporting commentary for management reporting
- Provide and/or support the development of a suite of monthly management reports.
- Review the outputs of the Fund's activity based costing model to ensure costs are allocated accurately across all departments.
- Produce ad hoc cost reports for various stakeholders, including; Regulators, Strategy and Finance teams.
- Work closely with Financial Control and Reporting Teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of results.
- Support the Senior Finance Partner to present on financial matters in a number of forums, including reporting on financial position to Head of Finance and senior leaders, as well as Executive Committees, Plan Review Committees and the Audit & Risk Committee.
- Ensure risks within area of responsibility are effectively managed in line with Fund risk appetite and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with the Senior Finance Partner to provide support across other departments as required.
- Build strong relationships with all Senior Finance Partners to assist in driving performance.
What you'll need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline;
- Completion of CA/CPA, or equivalent.
- Developed ability to identify when data and analysis is materially incorrect and obtain solutions.
- Developed ability to review, challenge and add value.
- Familiarity with complex organisations encompassing multiple regions, cost centres, projects, business lines etc. and how this can be configured in an accounting system.
- Developed influencing, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas, perspectives and issues to senior management.
- High level of familiarity and self-reliance with accounting packages.
