The role:
This position is primarily responsible for working with the Senior Analyst in the Products team and the broader Private Capital team and other stakeholders to ensure effective, accurate and timely delivery of new funds from idea inception to launch. The role also involves enhancing existing funds in distribution capabilities, investor collateral and fund research ratings.
Additionally, the role will include assistance in the project and stakeholder management of various workstreams and the preparation of board
papers / packs and assisting with reporting and the communication of key ideas to senior leaders where appropriate.
A key function of the role will involve driving business success through ensuring high quality and accurate analysis and problem solving
by the individual and a strong willingness to understand the intricacies of the firm and the investment landscape. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Fund creation to fund management & project management
- Preparation of board papers / packs and assisting with reporting and the communication of key ideas to senior leaders where appropriate
- Analyse economics of the files
- Create pitch decks, assist with portfolio management (small function)
- Assist in the achievement of favourable fund research ratings as well as contributing to the annual review process
- Support the head of Private Capital and maintenance of compliance items
- Supporting project management for new opportunities to ensure wholistic and timely delivery of new opportunities
- Either directly or indirectly assist with the delivery of new funds, products, and other capital raising opportunities
- Increasing the fund’s distribution capabilities through the onboarding onto Platforms and preparing succinct investor collaterals
- Product development
The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics or similar, with 2 - 3 years’ experience of relevant experience in an investments manager / wealth firm / financial services or professional services related industries. Experience with Private Debt / Credit is not necessary but will be viewed more favorably. Excel experience is also highly regarded.
You are a self-starter with excellent communication, analytical and numeracy skills, and the ability to work effectively both autonomously, and as part of a team. You will also demonstrate the ability to take initiative and solve problems.
