As a group, we are growing rapidly and as part of the , actively helping to advance the energy transition towards net zero.Our Digital Division have a permanent, full-time opportunity for an Analyst Programmer to be located at any of our major locations – Brisbane, Toowoomba, Maryborough, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville or Cairns – and are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.About your new role:As an Analyst Programmer, you provide specialised technical and analytical support in the identification of opportunities and solutions to system problems specific to the established platform applications and services within EQL’s Yurika portfolio.Adhering to EQL’s ITIL service procedures, you work to proactively maintain the stability of platform applications across various Metering and Asset and Energy Management systems in production and pre-production environments. From evaluating and implementing system enhancements to undertaking software development, you’re a key operational contributor to ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the Yurika platform.Yours days are filled with the ideal blend of problem-solving, creative thinking and practicality. You resolve production incidents and correct application errors and faults, conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify solutions, write code and algorithms, research and consult with key stakeholders, undertake debugging and testing within established protocols, upgrade .NET frameworks, and develop comprehensive system plans.You’re mentored by Senior Analyst Programmers and collaborate closely with a diverse range of Digital support and project teams (including Integration Specialists, Database Administrators, Cloud, Network and Service Administrators) and external system vendors to provide innovative discovery and solutions appropriate to customer requirements across the business.The remuneration range for your new role is from $110k to $157k plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight. You also have the option for a 9-day fortnight with salary adjustments. About you:Ideally, we’re seeking an experienced full stack .NET web developer to fill this role, so if you fit this bill, we want to hear from you.Specifically, you’re degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline. Alternatively, you possess the equivalent professional experience required for success. If you hold formal certification in Oracle PL/SQL Developer or REST and Java Messaging, you stand out from the rest.You’re proficient in both frontend and backend languages and frameworks and have proven experience using various programming technologies and APIs including Web, Cloud and Business Application based programming.You have a proven track record of working and producing successful results in waterfall and agile environments and you’re well-versed in operating under a DevOps framework.As a software development expert, you’re known for your solid coding skills and ability to effectively test and troubleshoot applications and software programs to resolve technical issues. If you have experience using Angular, this is advantageous to your success.Embracing a strong IT service management focus, you have demonstrated knowledge and a thorough understanding of ITSM principles and ITIL frameworks to facilitate outstanding service delivery.You’re a strong communicator who is adept in translating technical jargon to layman terms.
